Daniel Oh’s life has been defined by his unwavering dedication to serving others with honor and courage. His distinguished career in both the military and law enforcement is a testament to his commitment to protecting and helping his fellow citizens.

Daniel began his service in the United States Army Reserve as a Military Police officer, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant over 10 years. His deployments to Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2012 highlighted his leadership in combat operations, earning him the prestigious Bronze Star Medal among other honors, such as the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Combat Action Badge. These awards reflect his exceptional service to his country.

Following his military career, Daniel transitioned to the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Starting as a Police Officer in the 71st Precinct, his outstanding performance earned him the role of Neighborhood Coordination Officer (NCO), where he built trust with the community and effectively addressed their needs. His dedication led him to the elite Emergency Service Unit (ESU), where his skills in handling critical situations were invaluable.

Throughout his career, Daniel received numerous honors, including four Meritorious Police Duty awards and nine Excellent Police Duty awards.
